Since 1996, when the Haghighi Gas Valve factory launched in the Kashan Industrial City, this Iranian brand has built a solid reputation in brass valves. Haghighi’s threaded ball valves use CW617N brass, hard nickel–chrome plating, and PTFE O-rings engineered for heat and corrosion resistance—delivering long service life in residential, commercial, and industrial use.

Production Process & Quality Control

  1. Hot forging: Brass billets are hot-forged at ~700 °C in steel dies to create a dense, porosity-free body.
  2. CNC precision machining: Ball seat, threads, and O-ring grooves are turned to an 8 µm tolerance to ensure zero leakage.
  3. Plating & passivation: A bright 10 µm nickel layer adds wear resistance; a thin 0.4 µm chrome layer prevents tarnishing.
  4. Pressure testing: Each valve is 100% individually tested to ISIRI 3664—20 bar hydrostatic and 50 bar pneumatic.

Design Features & Application Benefits

  • Floating ball with mirror finish (Ra ≤ 0.2 µm) keeps the lever smooth even after 20,000 cycles.
  • Blow-out-proof stem per EN 331 prevents stem ejection under sudden overpressure.
  • Flow-direction indicator on the body simplifies reading and installation.
  • Vinyl-sheathed steel lever reduces heat transfer to the user’s hand.
  • Parallel BSP threads (both ends) allow direct connection to Schedule 40 seamless pipe or high-pressure threaded fittings.

Standards & Certifications

Haghighi valves carry the Iran National Standard mark (ISIRI 3664) and Engineering Organization approval, enabling use on city gas networks, liquid-phase LPG lines, compressed air, and non-corrosive industrial liquids. Helium leak tests per DIN 3230 and a 20,000-cycle endurance test per ISO 5211 are conducted by an accredited laboratory.

Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance

  • Clean male threads with a brass brush; PTFE tape up to 0.1 mm is sufficient for sealing.
  • Apply torque only to the body hex; never use the lever as an extension.
  • During annual gas-network checks, lubricate the stem with silicone spray and check for leaks with soap foam.
  • If ambient temperature drops below −10 °C, wrap the body with 9 mm elastomeric insulation to prevent ball freeze-up.
