Mirab Co.

Mirab at a Glance

Founded in 1979 by engineer Morteza Tavvaj in a 350 m² workshop near Azari Square, Tehran, Mirab began with cast parts for railways, diesel engines, and pump makers—and never stopped scaling.

  • 1990s: Entry into the ductile-iron valve market and nationwide sales network.
  • 2007: Shamsabad expansion (200,000 m²): integrated foundry, machining, and assembly.
  • Today: 5,000 t/year casting capacity; alloys from gray iron to duplex stainless steel; shipments to 40+ countries across four continents.

Manufacturing Technology

From smart foundry controls to online hydrostatic testing, the Shamsabad plant uses 4,500 kW induction furnaces, robotic molding, and a powder-epoxy line ensuring uniform, 250 μm coating thickness. A pressure test unit up to 64 bar checks each valve for leakage and mechanical integrity. An IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) monitors production and safety data in real time.
