Technical notes for selection & installation
- For buried lines deeper than 1.5 m, choose a higher PN class or pipe with a higher safety factor.
- For hot fluids (up to 40 °C), apply temperature-derating per the stress–temperature chart.
- For butt fusion above Ø400 mm, use two-stage heating (Pre-Heat and Heat Soak) to ensure a void-free weld.
- Before assembling compression fittings, clean pipe ends; lubricate the O-ring evenly with silicone grease to prevent twisting.
Extending PE network lifetime
- Bed and cover pipes with 0–5 mm silica sand, at least 100 mm thick above and below the pipe.
- Avoid direct contact with sharp rock edges or milled asphalt at road crossings.
- Monitor network pressure periodically and log data (Data Logger) to analyze hydraulic shocks.
