Sahar Gaz Company

Sahargaz Group started in the early 2000s from a small workshop in Razavieh Industrial Town, Tehran. Today—backed by fully automated production lines and an experienced engineering team—it is a leading Iranian manufacturer of welded steel fittings for gas service. Cold and hot forming lines, an ISO 9001 quality management system, and compliance with Iran National Standard 3076 have made Sahargaz a trusted supplier to municipal, industrial, and oil & gas contractors.

Manufacturing & Quality Control

  • Pipe preparation: Standard seamless or welded pipes are verified for chemical composition and wall thickness, then cut to length.
  • Forming: Parts are shaped in hydraulic dies or hot forging to produce elbows, tees, and concentric reducers.
  • Butt welding: For welded items, joints use GTAW and SAW. Each weld pass is monitored online by ultrasonic or radiographic testing.
  • Machining & finish: Ends are machined to 37.5° bevel for field welding.
  • Corrosion protection: A zinc-rich black primer is applied across all surfaces to resist moisture and oxidation during storage.
  • Destructive & NDT tests: Hydrostatic test at 1.5× design pressure, Charpy impact at 0 °C, and 100% dimensional checks confirm batch quality.

Product Categories & Technical Specs

  • Welded elbows 45° & 90°: STD and XS classes for direction change with controlled pressure drop.
  • Equal & reducing tees: Hot extrusion for uniform wall thickness.
  • Concentric reducers: Transition lengths per ASME B16.9 for smooth flow.
  • Swage nipples & threaded nipples: NPT threads to ANSI B1.20.1 with cold galvanizing.
  • Caps (end closures): Semi-elliptical form for permanent line isolation.
  • Steel pipe clamps: Electro-galvanized; vibration restraint up to 4g.

Table 1 – Size Range & Recommended Working Pressure (Sahargaz Fittings)

Fitting type Nominal size range (in) Common material Recommended working pressure (bar)

Installation & Maintenance Guide (for maximum service life)

  • Before welding, blast surface-to-surface to Sa 2½, then apply primer immediately.
  • Use proper fixtures to minimize residual stresses during welding.
  • After welding, perform soap-bubble leak checks and a pressure test at 1.35× operating pressure.
  • For outdoor lines, apply an epoxy intermediate coat and polyurethane topcoat to withstand UV–moisture cycles.
