Sajed Company

Sajed as a leading manufacturer of steel butt-weld fittings

Sajed supplies a complete range of elbows, tees, reducers, caps (end caps), male-thread adapters and pipe clamps in multiple pressure classes. Automated lines and rigorous quality control deliver dimensional stability, high mechanical strength, and conformity with national and international standards—proven across public and private infrastructure projects.

Materials & manufacturing

  • Carbon steel ST37 or equivalent grades for balanced weldability and mechanical strength
  • Welded (ERW) process for medium-pressure services
  • Seamless (Mannesmann) process for high-pressure and high-temperature lines; no weld seam reduces stress concentration
  • Heat treatment and final machining to equalize wall thickness and prepare weld ends

Standards compliance

Application area Key standard Key provisions
Urban gas distribution ISIRI 3076 (Iran) Hydrostatic test, leak performance at operating pressure, thread dimensions
High-pressure oil & gas API 5L / ASME B16.9 Chemical composition control, tensile and bend tests
Water & wastewater industries DIN 2605 / EN 10253 Corrosion resistance, protective coatings, dimensional tolerances

Competitive advantages of Sajed fittings

  • High cyclic endurance: resists water-hammer and alternating pressure loads
  • Broad size range 1/2 to 8 in, with custom larger dimensions on request
  • Custom surface finishes: epoxy coating, hot-dip galvanizing, or sand-blasting for enhanced corrosion resistance
  • Full product traceability with Heat Number stamped on the body for metallurgical tracking

Technical specifications — core products

Product Size range (in) Type / Angle Max nominal pressure (bar) Usage note
45°/90°/180° Elbow 1/2 – 8 Welded & Seamless 25 / 63 Change pipe direction in tight spaces
Equal & Reducing Tee 1/2 – 8 Butt-Weld 25 / 63 Branching with minimal pressure loss
Concentric Reducer Inlet 1/2 – Outlet 8 Seamless 40 / 63 Match unequal diameters on a common axis
Cap (End Cap) 1/2 – 8 End Cap 25 / 63 Pipe end closure for hydrostatic testing
Male-thread adapter (one-end male) 1/2 – 4 NPT/BSP 16 / 25 Transition from welded to threaded lines
Pipe Clamp 1/2 – 8 Saddle / U-Shape Vibration restraint and pipe support

Nominal pressure values are listed for the “welded” line first and the “seamless” line second.

Major application areas

Building services
Standard Sajed butt-weld elbows and tees in risers and domestic gas networks enhance safety against leaks and transient pressures. Sajed caps are used for end-of-line hydrostatic tests.

Oil, gas & petrochemical
Seamless Sajed fittings—free of weld seams—are the first choice for transmission lines and process units where design pressures up to 63 bar and operating temperatures up to 400 °C are common.

Water, wastewater & fire protection
Carbon steel with hot-dip galvanizing or epoxy coating provides strong resistance to raw-water and chemical media, enabling long service life in treatment plants and industrial sewer networks.

ERW vs. seamless — at a glance

Feature Welded (ERW) Seamless (Mannesmann)
Manufacturing method Plate rolling + longitudinal weld Solid billet, seamless forming
Recommended max pressure Up to 25 bar 63 bar and higher
Final weight Lighter Heavier (uniform wall thickness)
Project suitability Optimized for standard utility services Preferred for critical, high-risk lines
Sample applications Building piping, fire protection Oil & gas, high-pressure steam

Selection & installation guidelines

  • Match design pressure and temperature with the data above before ordering
  • Verify markings: clear Heat Number, Sajed logo, and standard on the fitting
  • Bevel preparation: 37.5° to ensure full weld penetration
  • Preheat / PWHT: for wall thickness > 12 mm, preheat up to 150 °C and perform stress relief after welding per procedure

Maintenance & periodic inspection

  • Visual Testing (VT) every six months on lines exposed to vibration
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT) annually for critical seamless lines
  • Renew protective coatings in humidity above 70% or corrosive environments

Tamam Baha maintains continuous stock of Sajed butt-weld fittings at its central warehouse. As one of several distribution channels in the market, it also provides technical support to help buyers select the right option based on pressure, temperature, and project standards.
